What We Do

Green Knight Energy Center

By generating energy from waste at the Green Knight Energy Center, our state-of-the-art gas-to-energy facility, generates enough green electricity to supply 8000 households. The profits made from selling this renewable energy are used to support community activities like scholarships, grants, and economic development projects.

Economic Development

We work to identify opportunities that will bring new business into Pen Argyl, Wind Gap, and Plainfield Township. Our incentive program provides financial incentives to business owners for the creation of quality full-time work and pre-determined employment plans, as well as start-up costs and relocation expenses.

Grants

We have distributed over $750,000 in grants to more than 40 non-profits in our community that reflect the ideals of community service, environmental stewardship, or community development, and continue to work with not-for-profit organizations within our community to provide funding to them.

Scholarships

We have awarded over $220,000 in scholarships to over 55 college-bound high school seniors from the Pen Argyl School District. Our scholarships are awarded to individuals who reflect the ideals of community service and environmental stewardship and are seeking higher education to further advance these ideals into their professional careers.
